Abbas Zaidi is a Pakistani writer and journalist based in Brunei Darussalam where he teaches English at Sultan Saiful Rijal Technical College. He is the author of Two and a half words and other stories, published by Classic Books, Lahore. Abbas Zaidi did his MA in English literature from Government College, Lahore, an MLitt in linguistics from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, and a Ph.D. in sociolinguistics from the University of Brunei. His short stories have appeared, inter alia, in New York Press, Exquisite Corpse, New Partisan, Eclectica, Salt River Review, Best of GOWANUS, and The Journal of Postcolonial Cultures and Societies. He is a Review Editor for The Journal of Postcolonial Cultures and Societies, and Asian Editor of GOWANUS. He has recently completed a PhD in socioligistics. He lives in Brunei Darussalam with his wife and three lovely kids. He is working on his first novel which will deal with the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.
